Each team member needs to choose someone that has been involved in helping the media producer class in one way or another. This person can be a student, administrator, business and industry person, faculty or staff. Think of who has come in to help with a project, watch presentations, or mentor during your time in this class and perform an act of kindness. This can be as simple as a thank you card, candy with a note attached, etc. If you are not sure what to do ask for help from the CEO's.

For the Random Act of Kindness, I chose Mrs. Pinkston because she was always helping us and going out of her way, putting in extra time outside of class to help us succeed. I got Mrs. Pinkston a Starbucks Card on Monday Feb. 12th(?).

For my random act of kindness, I chose Jeremy for the TV Production class. He helped me out with the XElite project with the “How To” title animations. He also got me acquainted with a new program. He helped me out so much and really took a load off. I got him a Dr. Pepper and a candy bar with a thank you note on it. When I tried to give it to him, his reaction to it was, he ran away and said”No, You Keep it.” Mrs. Piper had me and her chase him down till he accepted it. He gave me a hug and said thank you.

I was unsure of who to be kind to, a lot of people have helped the class in many ways. So I had two boxes of cookies made at home, where I then gave them to Mrs. Piper and Mrs. Pinkston and their classes. They both thanked me. This was done Tuesday. (Feb. 21) It was nice to do something for someone because it really seemed like they appreciated what I did.

I chose Kal for our Random Act of Kindeness because he is always a positive addition to my day. Every morning he tells he hello and sometimes he pays for my drink or cookie when I go to break. I just wanted to be able to say thanks for all the little things he does to brighten my day. I made him a "Thanks for being you" card as wells as a $30 gift card to Carrabba's for him and his wife to enjoy an evening out. I gave him the card on February 28th. At first he just looked at me like "what is this for" then he read the card and said "thank you so much, you are just the coolest!" He has continued to thank me every time he sees me now :)

I cleaned up a park at Jenks West Elementary. They didnt thank me because it was random. It made me feel like I was cleaning up trash. It was February 20th. They never saw me cleaning the trash so I dont know what their reactions were.

My RAoK was for students in my classroom and the teachers I work with. It was performed on Monday, February 27th. I brought 3 sacks of toothpaste/toothbrushes/shaving cream to give to anyone who would like to take them home. At first, most people didn't take me seriously and wondered why I had all these items to give away. After I explained that I normally donate these items to BA Neighbors but, today I decided to bring them to school and let people take them home with them, everyone was happy to take a couple of things. I enjoyed being able to help save people of few bucks :-)
